LG has unveiled its new gaming monitors with exciting features ahead of CES.

LG has unveiled a new line of gaming monitors ahead of CES. The flagship of the lineup for 2025 is the UltraGear GX9 series of bendable OLED monitors, which LG says is the world’s first bendable OLED display with a resolution of 5K2K, or (2,160 x 5,120 pixels).

LG’s latest 45-inch monitor offers gamers a great visual experience. With its high resolution, users get the exact vertical pixel count as a 4K monitor while still having a more expansive gaming space.

The monitor’s 21:9 aspect ratio provides gamers a richer, more immersive experience than standard 16:9 displays. This wider aspect ratio allows for a more cinematic gaming experience, with more screen real estate for in-game details and a wider field of view.

It is also more compatible with a variety of content than 32:9 monitors.

making it a versatile choice for both gaming and multimedia consumption.

The UltraGear Curved OLED Gaming Monitor (model 45GX990A) can transform from a flat position to a 900-radian curvature.

The latest version of LG’s Dual-Mode feature allows easy switching between preset resolution and refresh rate settings, providing users with the flexibility to optimize their gaming experience.

This feature also allows users to adjust the aspect ratio and image size.

giving them more control over their visual settings and ensuring a personalized gaming experience.

The LG 45GX990A monitor supports Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technologies.

however, LG did not disclose the display’s refresh rate.

LG will also release another (non-curved) monitor with a fixed 800-radian curvature. Both models have the same 45-inch size, aspect ratio, and 5K2K resolution.

LG’s press release claims that you can expect crisp, vivid images, “stunning” colors, and exceptional contrast.

Both monitors share common features, including a 0.03ms (GtG) response time, DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with a 90W power output.

The 45GX950A uses an RGWB subpixel array.

an innovative technology that improves on-screen text readability and prevents eye fatigue over long periods.

This unique subpixel arrangement enhances the monitor’s visual clarity, making it an ideal choice for gamers who spend extended periods in front of their screens.

In addition to the two monitors, LG is also introducing the 39GX90SA UltraGear curved monitor at CES. It is described as a “webOS-powered home entertainment hub” offering easy access to streaming services like LG TVs.

The 39-inch 39GX90SA is slightly smaller than the other GX9 monitors but maintains the 21:9 aspect ratio and 800-radian curvature. “The monitor features USB Type-C ports for easy connectivity and an ergonomic L-shaped stand,” LG says in a statement.

LG has not yet announced a release date or price for its new monitors.
